Just started folding

Hello and welcome to the team!  ;)

As you have probably already seen, there are different badges with different requirements.

You can get the first contributor badge when you have finished atleast 21 wu's, or work units.

After that you have point requirements for the bronze, silver and gold badges, to get the badge

send a PM to a mod (whaler_99) with your folding name/id and such so that they can find you.

To check how many points you have and how many wu's you have returned you can search

for yourself on the folding at home site here http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userstats

You can also use this alternative resource. http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/search.php

The shortcut would be to just open the web client or just click on your name in the advanced desktop

client.

You are awarded points for each wu you return on time, a work unit is just each single workload

or "packet" that you download and upload.

Some wu's are eligible for bonus points. Meaning the faster you return the wu the more points you

will receive for it. To qualify for this you need to use a passkey and meet 2 requirements using said

passkey, you can find this in the FAQ stickie that you seem to already be familiar with.

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/207857-for-folding-users-tips-tricks-and-faq-updated-aug-2014/

If you play around abit with the advanced client, look at the logs and such. You will be able to find

both estimated and actual credit return for each wu. kakaostats, another stat site on the same lines

as overclocking offered this in the past, but eventually it was just too much data and traffic to handle

so they have shut down. Extreme overclocking doesn't offer quite as detailed information.

Hey guys, im new to folding and joined this team because it helped me alot to understand folding, i saw the FAQ said that there are badges that are awarded to people when they reach a target point, how do i know how much points i am getting per work unit so i know when i can hit the target point?

Type you folding name into folding.extremeoverclocking.com Which updates your score and keep track of basically everything… Look in my signature to look at mine… every three or four hours… You can also go on Stanford's site to keep track of your information at http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userstats which should always be updated within a few minutes of each working unit upload... You can also look in my signature for mine too

The web control has tabs on it, that's probably your CPU's PPD, you can click on your GPU tab to see it's PPD too... The advance control shows the combined GPU CPU PPD
