My friend who is a beginner just bought all the parts to his first PC, but he didn't get the graphics card, thinking that until he could afford that integrated graphics would be fine. What I didn't realize until everything shipped is that his CPU is the AMD 6300, which obviously does not have integrated graphics. He is going to try and get a temporary card, and his preferred budget is $30 dollars, although he may be able to get a card up to $50. One game that he wants to play is Trove, and another is Rocket league. Are there any cards that could run at least trove for his budget?

EDIT: I found a 9800 GTX for $30 would that work?

A 9800 will be fine, but if yall have a friend he could borrow another card from and then let him save up a bit more that would be better.

I just got a used 770 for my sister  and the Performance increase for the 50 Euros I gave to her were totally worth it. (10/10 I will never get that Money back :D ) So tell him to save up and get something better, which should get him way better performance.

Is that just for games like Trove, or Rocket League as well?

Rocket League runs on the Pentium G3250 iGPU, so it should run just fine. He will just not be able to crank up the settings.

Hey I have similar problem too. At first go to a few internet cafes if there are still any in your area (if there is one that's about to close your are lucky) and ask them if they have any spare GPUs to sell you or even give away.

Now I need some help for myself if you dont mind. I just bought my new PC. It has a 6700K skylake CPU but the graphics card isnt powerful enough to meet my needs. I knew that I wouldn't play play counter strike at 1080p at high settings but even with all settings to low and no anti aliasing I cant play and record at the same time. My dilemma is should I but a beefy GPU now and get my Youtube channel going at last or should I try to find an other solution until I can get my hands on a Pascal GPU?

Both me and my father cant afford buying a new PC every two years so we wait for the right time, get the latest tech we can and keep the PC for at least 4-5 years with very few upgrades. For example I was waiting to buy a skylake cpu. When I got it, I bought a WD green 1TB HDD just to have a pc, until Samsung's 950 pro M.2 drive came out. what should i do this time?...
