Hi, I am finishing a build and have a Gigabyte 980ti Windforce. It didn't come with a manual and there are 2 8 pin connectors on the right hand side of the card. It came with a two headed cable, do I plug both heads into the card and then connect the other end to a VGA cable and into the PSU?

Thx

That is just an adapter they provide, you can use a DVI, or HDMI which is what most displays use now.

As for the PCI-E connectors lookon your PSU for a PCI-E or VGA connector for both the 8 pins

So the VGA cables the providr have one head that is 8 pin and on the other end a 6 pin plus 2 pin. How would this work?

You would need to plug both in the 8 pin and the 6+2pin into the card to power it, make sure they are both labeled VGA or PCI-E power cables.

There is another VGA cable that has 8 pin on one end and 6 pin plus 6 pin plus 2 pin. Do I use this one to plug in the 6 and 6 and leave the 2 pin dangling and then the 8 pin onto psu?

Oh you mean something like this that came with the GPU?

If that is the case you don't need it if your PSU has two 8 pin PCI-E power cables.

Thanks!

Working now.

I plugged in two cables. An 8 on one end (PSU) and 6x2 (into graphics card), and a second cable the same.

Just curious. What is an okay idle temperature? I got to the BIOS and it says it is 29 degrees celsius. All fans are on including Noctua D15

For the GPU that's good, but for load temps if you overclock it keeping it below 85C is good, similarly for the CPU.
