Hello,

I am looking to buy a microphone. I found two that interested me: Blue Snowball Ice and Blue Yeti. I have couple questions:

  • Which one would you recommend ?
  • Is paying more for Blue Yeti worth money ?
  • What other microphone would you recommend ?

INFO about me:

  • I will not do any recordings.
  • I am looking for a good microphone for mostly gaming and skype calls.
  • I do NOT want microphone in my headset or in my camera.

At2020USB imo.

If you're looking for something cheaper, the ATR-2500USB is another great choice.

The yeti is quite large and imo kinda ugly, and the snowball is just meh.

Though as all you'll be doing is gaming and skype calls with it, any of them would be fine.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I'd suggest going on youtube and finding videos of people comparing the various microphones to see which one you think sounds better then.

How I'd put it in order of audio quality:

AT2020USB > Blue Yeti > ATR2500USB > Blue Snowball

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W
