CPU Advice

Hi,

I'm after a CPU for gaming and one that is well suited for overclocking.

I would like to go with Intel.

As I'm still learning what all the specs mean I would like help to make sure I am not throwing money into an expensive CPU when a cheaper one could do a similar job.

Thanks for any help. :)

nailed it

for gpu id say 770 4gb or 780 (windforce probably)

if you want quiet go for a high wattage psu, if not go close to your needs

also, i was gonna say go asus for mobo but then i realized he nailed it

no matter what, ssd

id say 850 evo 240 gig

if you plan to overclock, you may want to get a bigger cooler, possibly even an aio

For the budget I was thinking $400-$500. But if there's a cheaper CPU that performs better or similar for gaming (like the one you mentioned) I'd take it.

If I don't have to spend that much for a smooth gaming session then I'm happy. :D

Just coming back to PC after playing Witcher 3.
