Newly Built Computer, Screen Wont Boot? Help?

So i built a new computer, i have everything plugged and was gonna start the boot. All the lights are on inside, fans are on, gpu light is on, lights on my usb Mouse and keyboard is on etc. i connectedy hdmi to the MOBO and GPU hdmi slots and nothing showed on my screen. help? Also Im using a tv

You may want to check to make sure that the TV input is set correctly. If you didn't manually and explicitly change the input, then that's why.

TV's can take much longer than a monitor to recognize a signal. Sometimes you have to wait for that to happen. But, do try to use the motherboard output first without the GPU. The TV may also have scaling issues that should be able to be fixed through some menu on it with an overscan option or something pertaining to PC input.

Remove the GPU and connect to the motherboard using DVI or VGA, I had this problem on my Gigabyte z97-HD3 and i fixed it by changing the post output to IGFX in the bios.
