I read a lot of topic out there about USB 2.0 slow speed but i still can't fix it. It's a USB 2.0 flash drive

So lately, i plug my USB 2.0 in my USB 3.0 on the front of Corsair 500R. Theoretically i should get around 35-40 mb/s, If i see it right on the other forum. However, when i actually use a copy program to transfer a bunch of file, around 5.7 gb. It took me like 10 YEARS, actually 4 hours to complete it. How ... ?

I turn on the Optimized for perfomance thing in the driver already but then still, i got a range from 320kbs-5mbs (which is REALLLLLY SLOOOWWW).

If someone can help me would be really appreciate. I think I have all the USB drivers up to date.
