Hello, it's my first time posting on a forum so I apologise in advance if there are any mistakes. I have been planning to build my first custom pc for awhile but postponed the plan to next mid-year due to my friend tempting me to go on a trip to Japan. I have always used a laptop or a macbook and have little knowledge about building a custom pc so I would appreciate any help with listing the parts.  :D

I will be using this PC mainly for digital art (80% of the time when my school starts end of next year), video editing and gaming. Some of the programs I will be using are photoshop, zbrush, premiere pro. As for the games, I usually play RPGs like Final Fantasy 14, Phantasy Star Online 2, some other JRPGs and occasionally RuneScape. I will be using a 1920x1080, 27" monitor (uses displayport 1.2) which was given to me recently and already have all the accessories I need for the pc (keyboard, mouse etc.). I have a budget of about SGD$2000.

I might also connect my TV as a second screen to watch videos while drawing/gaming once in awhile. I am thinking of getting 250gb SSD and 1TB HDD and also a blu-ray drive as I have a collection of blu-rays collecting dust on my shelf.

I would plan closer to the time As Skylake E and Pascal will be close by then

Is the monitor IPS?

If not, it might be worth getting a 1440p IPS one and selling the 1080p one.

Don't get too extravagant, that's Singapore $ not USD, gonna need those $$$ to build a strong rig

$2000 SGD roughly translates to $1400 USD. As I know prices are probably going to be more expensive in Singapore in comparison to the US, I've provided a $400 USD safe gap in between which I'm hoping will allow you to get all of the things in your build within your budget:
