To overclock a graphics card, you will need a utility such as EVGA Precision X(which can be acquired through Steam or directly from EVGA) or MSI Afterburner. You will also need some form of stress testing - I recommend Unigine Heaven and some real games that you intend to play. You will want to pick some component to overclock and turn up the slider up 5-10MHz, and then stress test the card. If it passes stability, you can leave it as is or push it further, adding another 5-10MHz, and stress testing once more.

Which card are you using specifically?

Afterburner and Precision X will show you the temperatures of the GPU on the graphics card.
