Posted December 28, 2015 Hai! Aight so I got a few spare parts I'm going to use in the build. I have a 750W Antec Earthwatts, an EVGA GTX 780 SC, some DDR3 RAM, an 840 evo 120gb, and 2 WD Green 1TB drives. Now, I have $200 to spend on the rest of the components (not to say I can't get more money, so just give me good budget parts). I was thinking a windowed Corsair 100r, and either an FX-6300, i3-4170, or i3-6100 for the processor, although anything is fine. Throw me what you got, and try to stay close-ish to $200. Posted December 28, 2015 i dont want a cheapo case Do you want massive CPU bottlenecks? You could always save up more, but a i5 4460 will be the cheapest CPU that wont bottleneck the 780. Ey.. The i3-6100 to allow him to upgrade to a 6600k-6700k later on. I was thinking that way too, but a i3, cheapest mobo, 8gb DDR4 is $220 by itself Hello there, fellow dark theme users "Be excellent to each other and party on dudes." - Abraham Lincoln #wiiumasterrace
 If he plans to upgrade in the next 1/2-1 1/2 years then he should probably go with that i3-6100 Breaking things 1 day at a time
 I was thinking that way too, but a i3, cheapest mobo, 8gb DDR4 is $220 by itself The i3-6100 wont exactly bottleneck the gfx card, and if I get the skylake cpu upgradability will be better for when I want a newer i5. However, even though the 6100 is $50 less and is overclockable, a Z170 mobo is around $30 more expensive than an H81 mobo, and since I need to buy DDR4 RAM, the i5 option is $30 cheaper. However, if I want a good upgrade, I will probably have to upgrade mobo and ram anyways.
