Frustrating graphics bug

Hello guys I bought a 970 6 months ago and lately I've been noticing the fogs are improperly in contact with objects, for instance in far cry 4, batman arkham asylum, assassin's creed unity etc. it kinda looks like this 

 

 

as you can see at the bottom of the fog you can see it comes in contact in a wierd shape its like straight all along, this image is an example in the first 2 missions that you take over the bell tower and you come down the zipline and there's like a lake next to it.

looks like the fog was laid out on brushwork like the sky and ground. when you move closer  and through it does the effect change........ like the nearest one stops and a new one appears beyond that one? try to mess with your graphics settings a little.

 

what about field of view settings?
