Router Recommendations

Hello Linus Tech Tips Forum, I am looking to buy a router as the modem/router combinations is not providing the desired speed I want. I pay for a 30mbs download speed and can get it with an ethernet cord, but can only get 17 max on wireless. I have an Asus PCE N-15 in my primary desktop which is in my basement. My modem is on the main floor. I have 3-4 people watching videos and or gaming at a time and need a router that can support that. If anyone can recommend a future proof router, that would be much appreciated. The price range is not much of an issue either.

Linksys EA4500 is a beast, i know i keep talking about it a lot, but ask people who have it i'm pretty sure they will say the same thing.

As for the speed wireless G actual speed is 2.2 MBps.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)
