The i7 6700K is overclockable, not the 6700. To overclock you need a very good CPU cooler to allay the extra heat, and the knowledge of how to safely overclock tutorials are your friend here. It is theoretically possible to achieve 5Ghz, but incredibly unlikely unless you want to start damaging your CPU. 4.6-4.8Ghz seems to be the average overclock for skylake CPUs.

What would be the best before you start damaging?

Yo dude. Please read this.

You can overclock non k skylake CPUs with some Z170 boards (listed in that link).

Although it'll be not as good as OCing the 'k' lineups.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

Look up some tutorials, they will help you. To get a high overclock like 5Ghz, you need to increase the voltage of the power running to your CPU. If you increase the voltage too much, you will end up frying it. I suggest not going over 1.3volts, at a stretch 1.35.

I had heard of something like that actually... Nice to know I will be able to overclock my i5 6500 on my z170N-Wifi when I get it :) thanks for the link.
