Just cause 3 hard copy steam code help

Hi all, 

 

Just bought my copy of Just Cause 3 for PC, and i bought the hard copy, with the 5 discs for installation. In the box, there was a little leaflet with a Square Enix Membership logo, and it said game registration code. I thought ' great, that'll be the code i'll need for steam' (as it says on the box). So i go to install it, and sure enough, the first thing it asks is for the steam code, but it says the code that was on the leaflet was invalid! I've tried it a few times, and i know I'm not typing it wrong because it registered fine with my square enix account. I was a little confused because when i registered it on square enix's website, it asked for my steam account login, and it says it registered it with that. Buuuut it hasn't magically shown up in my steam library, so I'm not sure what to do. Help?

It's probably not the right code, it should clearly say it's for Steam on the sticker. That's probably for some Square Enix membership or something.

Well that's dumb. Just noticed some writing on the back of the box art paper, where i also found the bloody elusive steam code. Problem solved.
