Low spec patch GTA V?

I came across this thing called low spec patch. I downloaded it and when I opened up the file, AVG said there was malware inside. I removed it but in the read me of the file, it says to disable any antivirus. Im almost positive that this is a virus. Has anyone had any experience with "Low spec patch"? Any help or information is appreciated.

If it says it has malware, it probably has malware.

If it's an injector which means it works by injecting code while the game is running, then it will be flagged by the AV as it's behaving like any other malware

 

I highly doubt a low spec patch would come as an injector, you downloaded a trojan, low spec patches are usually just .ini modifications and such

not necessarily, most anti virus and security software are too harsh for pirated stuff and registry hacks.

Should I ignore my AV and continue on with the file? Or just scrap it and move on to something else?

Not worth the risk, could be a miner or some russian ransomware in there

There are thousands of people using it and i have hardly read any complaint about it so you would be fine.
