I got an SSD for X-mas and set up windows on it all updates, I just formated my old main hard drive so that windows is not on it and its a clean, empty disk, however it has two (albeit 450mb) recovery partitions and a system reserved 350mb partition, why are they there when there is no windows on it?

Also I am thinking of splitting the Primary partition into an ssd backup partition and a primary storage partition, is that advisable or not?
