Bluray Player?

Hey guys,

 

So on black friday I bought a 55" 4k LG TV, and a LG Soundbar + Sub. And tomorrow I'm thinking about getting a Bluray player for my room. What would everyone recommend?

 

I'm kinda going between something like the LG BP350, LG BP550, and LGBP735 (for the 4k upscaling). Any recommendations?

 

I'd prefer to stick with LG for the compatibility between my whole setup.

Wait a little longer, especially if you just bought a 4k TV set. UHD-Blu Ray players are just around the corner, infact I read theyre going to start releasing in January

Really? I've never heard of them. Might look into it a bit.

 

I suppose I could always use my PS3 in the meantime.

I'm also considering now trading in my PS3 and all my games at either Bestbuy or EB Games, and using that money and a few giftcards to get a PS4.

I can't find any prices on them? Can you? If they're going to be absorbantly expensive, then I won't get getting one.

2 - 3 times the cost of a current Blu-Ray player. If I were you stick to the PS3 for a few more months and save that money towards a UHD once they become more available

Well there's a huge range in Blueray prices. If it's 2-3x the price of something like the BP735, I won't be paying $400-$600 for a Bluray.

How much did you pay for the TV out of interest? See it so often where people spend 2000 on a TV and refuse to pay 500 for the source, which is equally as important

Regularly $2000 CAD, it was on sale for $1200. I understand paying more for the source, but I just don't have the budget, nor am I big enough into movies to justify spending half what I did on the TV to on the Bluray.

That's fair enough mate, just trying to avoid you dumping $$$ on  Blu-ray then UHD been released a few weeks later
