System and Compressed Memory Causing slowdowns

This process called System and Compressed Memory is grinding my computer to a laggy mess. it says it's from microsoft and its description is NT Kernel and system. what is this?

it is when you were using have ram tasks, then you closed it, and it is cleaning up the ram, give it a few minutes.
