Overclocking an fx processor

So, I asked yesterday if a motherboard it's compatible with a fx 6300 and everyone said that it will be compatible but I won't be able to overclock because I would need a 990fx chipset.

But, what means "not able to overclock"?

Won't I have that option in bios?

Won't the processor overclock only a litle?

You cant OC at all or you can OC lot as you want.

Let's assume that you have a medium overclocking cpu. can you overclockit with a non-990fx chip motherboard?

Yes i did it with a 760 chip set

when i had that Mobo i did but now i have an other MoBo
