Hi everyone, i just got a quick question about this as im a bit worried,

when i am playing a game, lets say civilization beyond earth, i get "lines" across my screen. nothing super bad, i can still play and game normally but its like interference, can it be a bad cable? or bad screen? or maybe frame rate is too high?

its hard to take a picture on it how it looks but. is it dangerous? im currently using a vga-dvi adapter (for 2 days as emergency)

thanks!  ^_^  ^_^  ^_^

Check if temps are okay, try underclocking the card a bit (memory especially) and see if that yields any benefit.

Also play around with the cable a bit.

Also that adapter might be causing you an issue, IDK.

Sig under construction.

You play the civ games? Do you have civ5? But more on the matter, does it happen in any other game? If not, we can assuming it's the game itself, not the gpu.

the temps are not over 65c and the memory clock speed at stock, all at stock but its factory OC so maybe i should under clock it? how do i do that? ...msi afterburner...?  it also happens when i use a normal cable

it happens in every game... yes i got civ 5...

don't know how that look... maybe?  :o its 60fps on a 60hz monitor...

Test and see if it happens in any other games, monitor your temps, reset any overclocking, update your drivers, and if it still persists in multiple games, then either your monitor or GPU is dying.

Do you have another monitor you could try it on? If so, you could find out for certain if its the GPU or monitor's fault

A TV would probably work. A friend of mine only had a TV in his house, so he has both his xbox 360 and PC on it.

I did try with the TV, it worked better, i guess it's just the cable/adapter!
