Hi. I was having some issues with the sound quality with my HyperX Cloud 2 and with the Mic volume, so I asked for a replacement. They sent me a new external sound card and a new mic, the sound is the same, and the new mic sounds even lower, so I decided to return this HXC2, I want to try to buy the HyperX Cloud 1 + Xonar DGX to get a better sound quality. I have 2 questions:

I will win sound quality with this set up (HXC1 + DGX)? I mean if is better than only the HXC2

Can I use the Cloud 2 mic on the Cloud 1?

I want you guys to hear some songs where I can hear bass distortion, I want to know if is my ear, my headset or the song.

Any CS:GO player here? I can hear distortion when AWP shot for example, because sounds too loud, but I have a friend that say he doesn't hear distortion.

PS. I have this issues with my old usb headset too.

Awp distortion?

It might be static buildup inside your pc, try plugging the wire into the back of your motherboard instead of front panel connectors. and just as a side now the Xonar DGX sound card wont "improve sound quality"

HXC2 is USB headset, I replaced the Cloud 2 sound card for a new one and the issue is still here.

Motherboard Issue?

There should not be this issue... Its not the headphones most likely because like awp distortion, i mean like its not some bass with difference in frequency and all that, its a loud bang.

Instead of USB try buying the 3.5mm jack version and then see what happens, if that don't work just get a external sound dac
