Rival 100 sensor bad?

My friend is considering picking up the Rival 100 and after watching hardwarecanucks review i said it wasnt a bad choice but then he linked me this video:

And the reviewer saying that the sensor is bad (around 4:30).

Is this true? Is he lying? Is it a bad sample?

Btw the sensor used in the Rival 100 is the SDNS 3059

The sensor performs good only on the 500 DPI step, which is fine for CS. Basically, the Rival 100 has pretty good build quality, but a shitty sensor and thin mouse feet.

More than likely a bad sample.

Steelseries is known for the use of high end sensors, even on their lower end mice.

Like the Kana v1 with the shitty 3305DK sensor with prediction or the Kinzu V3 with the abysmal office grade A3050?

From salty to bath salty in 2.9 seconds
