Stuttering with Gsync ?

Hey guys,

 

So the thing is I have a Rog Swift PG278Q.

 

Currently I am playing Witcher 3. With everything maxed out I am running between 40-70 fps .

 

But there is alot of stuttering even though Gsync is on. Gsync seems to be working in other games like Far cry 4.

 

Note :

 

1. Vsync is set to "on" in Nvidia control panel. (Runnign 359.xx latest drivers)

2. Vsync is set to "off" in witcher 3  (setting it on makes no difference , stuttering persists).

3. Gsync is on in Nvidia Control Panel and the monitor also shows Gsync On.

 

The stuttering usually occurs when fps rapidly vary from 50-54 fps during certain areas.

 

Shouldn't Gsync be eliminating this stuttering ?
