I increased my R9 390s clock speed from about 1100mhz to 1300mhz just to see if temperatures would increase, then I accidentally opened a game and windows stopped responding, so I shut off and booted up again.

BIOS shows, everything is fine, but after BIOS there is no picture, just blank screen.

I don't want to set up windows again, any solutions?

Thanks :)

Try resetting the CMOS and check your boot options.

Use the integrated graphics to boot, and reset the gpu clocks to default once in windows.

Would that be down to just connecting the cable to the motherboard or is there any settings for this?

You can take out the CMOS Battery or whatever its called, or pressing the BIOS reset button. (Probably the first one)

Yes. Most motherboards have settings for it in the bios, but it is usually set to auto by default, so it should recognize when you start up the pc with the display cable connected to the motherboard.

@Firestrike @Lord_Karango17 @0x1e

I have tried it all

I started with the IGPU, reset GPU1 (R9) but nothing happened

Then removed the CMOS battery, again, nothing

I wanted to try what 0x1e said, but now the iGPU provides 'THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER' error

What do I do, I'm so tired of this?

Maybe start the pc with the igpu, and do a clean reinstall of the gpu drivers

Weird. Tried safe mode yet?

If that dosent work, try removing the gpu, booting into windows, uninstalling all the drivers, then putting the gpu back in an installing the drivers again.

Also for future reference, leave the "apply overclock on startup" box unticked if you are doing things like applying 1300mhz on a 390.

I don't understand afterburner very well, it is so unclear.

I have fresh installed windows, but now I cant go back to the 390 because keyboard switches on after the POST screen.

This is so f***ed

What do you mean "you cant go back to the 390". Did you set the primary gpu to be the integrated graphics in the bios?

Yes because it wouldn't work otherwise.

ALL fixed, thanks dude, you helped a lot and I would have not gotten anywhere without you. I was so scared.
