!st PC Gaming Build - Intel

Ninodrdns

So, i have been planning on building my gaming pc for almost 2 years now, just didn't have that much time to do it and i just couldn't finalize my build.

Im planning on an intel build, about $1000(depending on the price of the part here in the philippines, and availability). I mostly play wow.

in this build, i am aiming for a 60fps experience atleast on high for games like wow and mid range games and medium  or low for games like BF, Witcher 3, GTA V. i focus on smooth gameplay rather than realistic/best graphics. This is almost a complete build, minus the mouse and KB, This include an OS and a gaming monitor(not final). so the build is around $800-$850 without the OS and Monitor. I Did not really future proofed the build.

Would love some feedback on this build. or a better alternatives to some parts. Thank you

Go for an r9 380, performs better than the 960 and is overall a solid choice for this price range.

Get a better ssd, you do not need a CPU cooler.

Stretch budget for R9 390, bad PSU, go get at least an EVGA G2 550W

You do not need the extra case fans for such a budget build like this.

That case looks really ugly, be prepared for it. Would recommend S340 for that price point.

This is the one that i chose based on what you suggested. i changed the psu since that one was not available and went with  seasonic. i also changed the case to spec 03 just to have an optical drive. having one is a big help for me, since i am buying physical copies of the games that i play. i dont have the fastest internet. would like to change the graphics card to a 380 just to scratch a few of the cost. since im not gonna play at the highest settings

alright. ill change Xenift's suggestion a bit.

You should get an IPS display over that display, that one is horribly overpriced, just sort by IPS and lowest price and you're golden

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

just search for cheap and IPS

I wouldn't bother worrying about size, 22" is fine for 1080p, has around 100ppi

Adapters are cheap

http://www.amazon.com/Importer520-Plated-Female-DVI-D-Adapter/dp/B0035B4LJM

most monitors don't have HDMI because they don't need to carry an audio signal

DVI is the older standard that can do analog or digital depending on weather it has the extra 4 pins or not, and it can also do 144hz stuff with it's dual link version

will i still be needing an adapter? since the aoc monitor has DVI and 380 has DVI-I and DVI-D. i thought it will still be compatible without an adapter
