Computer freezing

Nergybrahh

I got a hyper 212 evo the other day so i decided to overclock my system, I managed to get it up to 4.4GHz stable and had it running for several hours with no problems, today when i logged on after 30 minutes the screen froze so I rebooted and the same thing happened, I took the overclock down to 4.3GHz and the same thing happened so ive now reset it to default clock speed and im seeing if it will happen again

IMO it was a bad overclock, did you stress tested it before the first freeze?

What were you doing when it froze?

Also, it is common for an OC to appear to be stable for a while and then turn out not to be. Also, are you doing auto or manual voltage?

When in doubt, re-format.
