Hi,

I've been planning out building a new server, and I picked up a Xeon e3 1225v5. I was going to put it in an Intel s1200spl, and I was wondering, will it accept non-ECC ram. I know ECC is favored for servers, but I have 16gb HyperX fury ddr4 (2133mhz) sitting around just begging to be put into something. If the motherboard won't accept non-ECC RAM, are there any good c236 mother boards that will?

Thanks in advance

Pretty rare to find a server motherboard that accepts non ecc ram. They do exist, I have found them before, but they are like unicorns. You might be able to find a server board with that feature, but you would have to compromise on literally everything else since the odds of finding that feature in a server board, along with compatibility with your chosen cpu, and pretty much any other requirement you may have is one in a million.

Don't do drugs. Do hugs!
