Performance per dollar ratio!

Hi so I've been studying up and looking around to maybe upgrade this gpu in this system I have http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16883227509&ignorebbr=1

And with a budget of around $200 or $250 I wanna get the best "bang for my buck" and I've been looking at the r9 280x or maybe the r9 380 but I don't know much about this so what do you guys think, opinions on performance for this price range ?

The R9 380x is pretty good, but the R9 380 matches it's performance with a good overclock. Likewise, The R9 380x outperforms the 380 if overclocked. I recommend the sapphire version

You could get a 380X but I would strongly suggest just getting a 380 and overclocking both the CPU and GPU.

380x. Avoid the asus and gigabyte versions.
