Internal card reader not working!

Hi,

I just put together a new computer, which is great.  I tried to add a card reader but I'm having issues getting it working.

Card Reader:

Addonics Internal SATA/USB DigiDrive, Model: AEIDDSAU

http://www.addonics.com/products/aeiddsau.php

I removed the JP4 jumper so that it would be in "open mode" meaning that you should be able to hot swap media.

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z87

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit

I connected the power to the PSU.  Connected the SATA cable to one of the brown SATA ports on the MB.  Upon power up, the LED on the digidrive came on, but the computer does not recognize the drive.

Then I went into the BIOS and fiddled with the SATA config.  SATA Mode was already AHCI so I left it.  SMART Status check was enabled, so I left it.  I changed port 3 (the one the digidrive is plugged to) to Hot Plug enabled.  I've restarted the computer with a CF card in and out, but the computer does not recognize it.  Somewhere along the line, the computer decided that I have a second BD-ROM drive (I DON'T).  If you try to open the phantom BD-ROM, it says "Application not found."

According to the reading material and the tech support gentleman, this product does not have a driver.  They have one on their website for some reason, but when I try to run it, it says it is not compatible with my system.

Anyone know what's happening here?  Hopefully, something easy that I'm not seeing.

Thank you in advance,

Matt
