Hi guys, I was wondering about the best VALUE motherboard. So around $150. I will be OVERCLOCKING with an h100i, so that is a big overclock. Not planning on Ali or crossfire, but better safe then sorry. Also please from amazon, in US dollars. Plus do you guys suggest going micro atx, since I am not REALLY losing anything and saving money, PLUS I can get a 350d, a awesome looking high quality that is cheap.

So

Answer this best z87 micro atx, and best regular atx

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

Asus Gryphon?

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Any z87 mobo will suit your needs just fine.

Edit: Fyi, the h100i probably won't break 4.8 ghz which pretty much any z87 mobo can hit if your chip and cooling allows it.

Gigabyte GA-Z87-UD3H is one of my favorites, or the D3H... The ASRock Z87 Extreme4 and MSI Z87-G45 Gaming are also compelling.

I agree with the UD3H.

The Asus Z87-A is a good motherboard for overclocking.

Asus claims they all overclock to 4.8 (depending on if u get a good cpu) so you literally could go to the cheapest asus motherboard if you really want to do that

Not just Asus--any z87 mobo.

I have always been using Asus ROG boards and I have never been disappointed, therefor I would go for the Asus Maximus VI Gene. It's a bit more expensive, but it uses top tier components and it also features a great on board audio solution, which will be perfect if you don't plan on buying a dedicated sound cart. You have the option to have SLI and Crossfire in the future if you decide to add a secondary card. Last but not least, you could fit it in the Corsair 350D, which you mentioned in your post above.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 - 3900x @ 4.4GHz with a Custom Loop | MBO: ASUS Crosshair VI Extreme | RAM: 4x4GB Apacer 2666MHz overclocked to 3933MHz with OCZ Reaper HPC Heatsinks | GPU: PowerColor Red Devil 6900XT | SSDs: Intel 660P 512GB SSD and Intel 660P 1TB SSD | HDD: 2x WD Black 6TB and Seagate Backup Plus 8TB External Drive | PSU: Corsair RM1000i | Case: Cooler Master C700P Black Edition | Build Log: here

This is probably the opposite of a value motherboard though.

I'm planning on putting the ASRock Z87M Extreme4 Micro ATX motherboard in my next build. I like the All black look, plus it has a lot of good features and lots of I/O on the back. It's worth taking a look at. Plus a little under your budget its $122.99 on newegg right now.
