Laugh at me if you want, but in my opinion, the sony playstation wireless USB headsets are really good quality (build, audio, mic) and they are not very expensive.

I was actually considering getting one of those in the past few days. Decent value for what you get in terms of build quality and also wireless! I decided against it when I heard an audio sample from the mic. It sounds very digitised and a little distant for my preferences.

I have the super old PS3 one and the mic sounds great for me but i dont think you can get those anymore

I saw that one as well. It looked a bit bulkier but it had some pretty neat features like the sliding volume control. The mic was probably better because you could pull it out and have it sit near the corner of your mouth.
