Monoprice Cable Package Prizes

So there I am, all excited that I just received my new ethernet crossover cable so that I can finally get some stuff off of my laptop and on to my desktop. I open the package and admire the cable in all of its glory. But I noticed that there is something else in the package. Something... a little unexpected:

 

 

Yes, that's right. With my ethernet cable, I received an 80 calorie bag of Krave Chocolate Cereal as a prize. I've heard of prizes in cereal boxes, but never prizes in cable shipments - where the prize was cereal. Is this customary? I've ordered other cables, but never from Monoprice.

I do the same for my customers, I either throw in a small pack of Haribo or a couple of sticks of Maoams. I know a few places such as OverClockers.co.uk also do the same, in fact I got the idea from OverClockers.

You see it time to time with specialized shops. I've got couple chocolate bars, some basic coupons and fliers etc. There's also thing where you ask something stupid in Special Requests box and they don't quite do it. But do something to pay back the joke.

Did you eat the chocolate bars? Krave cereal isn't my favorite, but I can't say that I wasn't a little wary of eating it due to the fact that it was from a cheap cable company which I am currently not very familiar with.

Can't remember. It was long time ago when local retailer was still small company. Idk if they still send something when you make bigger order.
