Hello,

I made a bootable usb drive with windows 7 on it. However, everytime i try to install windows 7, i get the error message: "A required CD/DVD driver device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now."

My pc is newly built with an ASUS MAXIMUS VIII Hero, intel i5 6500, gtx970, 8gb 2400 ddr4 ram, evga 550w plus gold. I am trying to use the kingston ssdnow v300 120gb as a boot drive.

Thanks,

It's likely either one of two problems. The others ones i know are wrong because it gets into the install but it asks for a driver. First is your flash drive UEFI bootable (if it is then download a ISO with just EFI)? Second i think this is the true problem, but if your using a USB 3.0 port then don't use 2.0.
