Headphone issues

SparkySamZa

I can only hear from one ear on my HD 449, I know it seems to be the jack of them compared to my 598

As the middle of the jack has slightly come out, is there anyway of fixing it so I can hear through both again.

P. S it works if I apply a slight pressure to one side when plugged in.

Feel confident taking it apart? Sounds like there's a lose connection to whichever side you are applying pressure to. I cant find a tear down guide online. But if possible Id try taking the casing off the ear cup and looking for a broken solder joint or something along those lines. If it makes you feel better there really isn't much to speakers/headphones wiring wise. If you take it apart, theres wont be many connections to look at. If you can get it to a state where the wiring is exposed. Plug it in and press/jiggle the wires till you find one that makes the speaker start working and try to repair where ever the bad connection is.

edit: By middle of the jack has come out, you mean on the 3.5mm connector? Could you elaborate?

There is a very big chance that just your plug isn`t working properly, you can by those for a copple bucks online, and just solder it to your original cable

to game or not to game, that`s the question
