Hello all, I am looking to build my first PC and I need a little advice. I am a photographer and I need a PC to use as my workstation. The programmes that I'd be using daily are photoshop and Lightroom. So not too demanding but at the same time, needs to be fast. I would maybe do some mild gaming too, nothing like the latest and greatest (fallout and battlefield etc).

I live in the UK and my budget is £600-£650 max

I already have a monitor, mouse and keyboard and a copy of Windows. So I just need a case (windowed preferably but not an issue as saving money would be good) and all the hardware.

The biggest question I have right now is whether I should get an i5 from Intel or an AMD fx-6300 6 core or and fx-8300??

Any advice and/suggested builds would be much appreciated! Thanks peeps!! :D

wth your workload, an intel processor.  a quadro would be good in the future, but not soon.  also, get multiple drives and raid 1 them for redundancy
