Help me choose a 1440p monitor

So I am interested in getting a top end monitor to last for many years and a mid range video card (to hold me over until pascal). I am considering 970 or the 390 for video cards which should both run 1440p pretty well? Need to be able to play fairly demanding games at 1440p.

 

These are the monitors I have been looking into a lot. I really want a fast IPS monitor, I know the dell isn't IPS. Any recommendations or suggestions?
