Problem with gamepad

I have a Speedlink Torid gamepad myself and is very pleased with it, it is fearly cheap and also wireless but most important of all is that it just works. No problem. That is why I reccomended it to a friend, unfortunatly she was not as lucky as I was and has run into a couple of problems with it. It does not get detected with a wired connection at all, but it connects wirelessly fine. That wouldn't be a big problem if it would have worked only wirelessly. The button layout is somehow odd. A is Y, X is B and vice versa, left analog stick is select and right analog stick is start. I have installed the drivers from the website, so they are up to date. I am using Windows 10, she is using Windows 7, neither works and have the same issues.

Does anyone know a fix for this or is it just a faulty controller?

One last thing, I don't think it important but I might as well mention it. I haven't charged the battery to max capasity, it says in the start guide that it should charge for 3+ the first time (3+ because 3 hours is regular charging time).
