GH1 LCD Dead Pixels?

So today I noticed that there is a black line appearing on the LCD of my GH1, checked it wasn't the sensor as the EVF doesn't show the line, so do the pictures when I put it onto the computer, any ideas how to fix this?

Can you post a pic of what you are seeing?

 

If it is really dead pixels on your camera's back LCD screen, the only way to fix this would be to send it in for replacement.

If it is really dead pixels on your camera's back LCD screen, the only way to fix this would be to send it in for replacement.

Is there really no other way then send for replacement? Because it isn't under any warranty anymore

 

OK so this line doesn't appear in the photos you take, hence it's not dead, stuck or hot pixels on the camera's imaging sensor.  It is not a scratch on the back LCD.  These lines are appearing only on the back LCD.  So you have two choices:

  1. Contact Panasonic and see how much they would charge to replace and service it.  Honestly I think it's not going to be worth it for you.
  2. Live with it and save the cost of servicing, repair to buy a new camera later.  Because it doesn't look like it would really get in the way of your photo taking.
