I just bought the EVGA 500W PSU i wannted to know how they perform and whats the chance of it failing on me, im going with a lower end build i have the Q9550 not OC and the PNY GTS 250 1GB (The processer i bought and the card i find in a garage sale for 5 dollers) but ill be buying 750ti for christmas

Console is better because its cheaper ~console peasants

used one for years in a backup system. good enough nothing fancy though.

They're really reliable; the chance of failing is slim :)

Not always the case. Check out the PSU whitelist in my sig. The W1 series should be avoided entirely, actually.

If it's the 500B then you're set. Otherwise I'd step up frm the W1 if that's what you have. Which EVGA is it?

Well can you link me to an Amazon link of it? If it doesn't say 500B on it then you just bought a shitty PSU my friend. The W1 series is really not a great PSU. Once you throw a 750ti in there look into a Corsair CX430M, EVGA 500B, Antec VP450 or anything from Seasonic's budget options.
