R9 380x vs gtx 970

MrMan

I am trying to figure out what graphics card I should use for my pc. I was wondering how much better the gtx 970 was and if it would really be worth it. I would want to play ark, star wars battlefront, rainbow six siege, and other games like that.

380x and 970 are not in the same performance or price bracket. The 390 is AMD's competitor to the 970. What is your budget?

At 1080p? Same some cash and stay with the 380x. If you might play on a higher res or want a bit more power and can afford it in your build the 970, thought I'd personally jump to the 390 instead of the 970.
