I have a small cheap electric amp and i want to know what rock sounding setting i can get out of it?

My Dials  Are

 

Overdrive

High

The overdrive will give it that grungy tone you hear in harder rock metal. I usually turned that on when i wanted to play like Smoke on the Water or some Metallica song.

Then what do i set high and low to? Because overdrive alone is like nothing

The high is the higher pitches, the low is the bass. If you want a lower tone, boost the low. I would try boosting the high up first and see what you can get out of it.

Just for kicks and giggles. Go 8 high, 6 low, overdrive on and volume as loud as you can without getting arrested and smash an E on your guitar.
