Heyo,

TLDR: I play war thunder ground forces often.

When HPET is enable in windows, the game is incredibly cpu bound and results in sub 60 fps for the majority of the game.

There is a command I can type into cmd to disable it in windows (bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock), however it re-enables itself after a reboot.

Hence I need a way of activating that command on startup, or some time when the PC is on, so that HPET is always disabled.

Can't you just disable HPET in BIOS/UEFI?

Run window

shell:startup

Paste script in folder

How would I make a script out of the command in the original post?

It is disabled in the bios. but for some reason even if its enabled in windows, the game still messes up.

Open Notepad, paste this

bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclockpause

Save as "All Files" and type whatever name you want, but end it with .bat

The icon should be a little gear icon and when run will run in CMD.

The command will only work if cmd is opened with admin privileges, so how would I do that?

I ended up editing the shortcut settings so it launched in admin mode.

Thanks so much for your help :D

Much appreciated.
