Hi,

First of all I am new to the forums but have been following this youtube channel for a bit now.

I just recently purchased a new Inno3D GTX 960 Herculez X2 2GB and I've noticed that the temps are a bit high. It usually gets to around 75C @ 92% fan speed at stock clocks. Is this normal? I saw some people saying that theirs are at around 65-70C. I even made my own custom fan curve to no avail.

Would really appreciate any input in regards to this one. Thanks!

That cooler is not the greatest, however, those temps seem a bit high for a 960.Can you repaste the card? I remember reading a post in a forum about the 970 version from Inno, and changing the thermal paste solved the problem

He recently purchased that card, i don't think he should go for repaste that quick

Whats your Room temperature and what about the Case airflow?

Room temp is roughly around 35C or lesser, case airflow seems good as far as I can see, no wires randomly hanging around with 2 intake + 2 exhaust

that fan curve is the only thing that goes to 90% at 72C.. your card is running at 34C and idling in the afterburner screencap..

Are you saying that the fan curve I made is bad? Yeah it's on idle when I took the screencap, but you can see the max outputs there though.

Hmmm.. I just got it though, a bit hesitant that I may void the warranty, I never really checked if the pcb and hsf are properly aligned.

Edit: Also my cpu is air-cooled if that makes any difference.

bugger it i've gone blind

it's a bad paste application, BUT, you should just send the card back, get a refund and go for a 380. Better card, just avoid asus

It may look like it, since I've tried checking around the internet and saw that a fair bit of people have this same issue and a repaste solved it. I'll take it out and give it a quick look tomorrow and decide from there though.
