question about overclocking

Hey guys, if I would like to overclock my processor for example up to 4500MHz and I would like in my system to it runs sometimes in idle at 1600MHz and when I use it in games I want to it works at 4500MHz without being everytime at 4500MHz how this is called ?

It works at a lower clock speed because you're not doing anything intensive. Your CPU is saving power.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

You will do that automatically unless you disable it.

Intel C-State is available for Third Generation Processors !

When you OC, don't disable Turbo Boost. You may have to add a little more voltage than normal so it is stable when ramping clockspeed up and down, but you save power and put out less heat with it on.
