Problems with network adapter

Go to solution Solved by korocho,

Now it works for my 2,4gh/z i changedserverto 11 since its the most popular, thanks  for the help, ill  tinker with the 5ghz another time.

Hello,

I use a ASUS USB-N53 802.11a/b/g/n Network Adapter. I had a power outage yesterday and when i got everything running again I noticed that I could find multiple networks  but not my  own wifi signal. I tried on my phone and it finds it, I tried using my adapter on my laptop and it's the same there. I have tried disabling it, ip renew/refresh, restarted my computer several  times. I reinstalled the  device again and it's  the same. I can connect to the wifi on any other  device but my adapter. Is it just broken or am I missing something. The adapter also has the latest drivers installed.

Any help or tips are welcome,

Yes, multiple times. I have also tried it in various usb ports usb2 and 3

Another silly question, have you tried to do a hard reset of your wireless router? I want to try all the easy stuff, no matter how silly or ineffective it may seem.

You claim to be able to find multiple wifi networks, just not your own. It may be an issue with your wireless router/access point.

Don't worry about it being silly, im just glad to have someone to discuss it with, I have tried a hard reset on my router.  Yeah, I find other networks but not mine. I can find it on my phone, laptop and on other computers. It seems to just my adapter that can't find it.  I had it transmitting on 2.4 ghz and enabled a 5gh/z wireless signal as well but it can't find that one either but all other devices can.

This is strange. You would think that if it can find other networks, yours should show up as well. Im gonna jump into the google machine and see what I can figure out.

try loging into your router and changing the wireless channel. Ive been reading that changing the channel has helped fix this issue. What router are you using?
