Hi, I currently am thinking of finally upgrading my PC with all of these sales on at the moment.

I currently have a Intel 2700, amd hd 7870, 8gb of 1333hz hyper X blue Kingston memory, stock cooler, an old dell case, 2 really old 7200 rpm hdd's (250 and 500gb), a 630w be cool powe supply and I'm running Windows 10 professional.

I'm more of a casual gamer but not enjoying the time it takes to load games, frame rate drops in games like fallout 4 and very occasional crashes. So was wondering if it would be worth me upgrading any of my system, as this isn't really something I know much about.

Thanks,

Ed.

I Suggest getting an WD 1tb black drive and see how you like it, if you really want more speed you can get an ssd but it sounds like you need a better hard drive first.

If you want better gaming performance, get a better GPU, such as a R9 380. A 120gb SSD or new HDD would help, but it wouldn't affect performance nearly as much as a new GPU, it would only make the loading times faster.

Hi EdWelch,

I recommend upgrading your GPU to a Nvidia GTX 970, hard drive to an SSD or SSHD depending on your budget and personal preference.

Some newegg links to help

It all depends  on what your budget is. The graphics card is going to be your most important piece to upgrade. If you are on a really low budget the GTX 950 ($160USD) or the GTX 960 ($210USD). The Partpicker list down below would be the parts that I would chose if I was upgrading your PC. I would keep the Power supply and ram. I do not know what your case you have but I assumed a mATX case.
