Vessel streaming lagging?

Is anyone else experiencing issues with vessel? The last few days it has taken forever to load videos while youtube has no issues at all at a higher resolution. My subscription expires in March, and with no real improvements being made to Vessel and crap like this happening I don't think I am going to continue with it. I'd rather buy a T shirt or something.

Vessel just isn't as optimized as YouTube is. 

I reckon it's because they use their money to pay creators more than to make their site better.
