Here's what is happening: PC does not respond to the press of the power button. No fans spin, HDDs don't spin, optical drive doesn't do anything, PSU fan does not turn on. Motherboard LED is lit.

Keep in mind:

-The power supply is fully functional. Tested in another PC. Verified working.

-If I take out the 24 pin and bridge it, the HDDs and Optical drives power on.

-I've verified it isn't the switch by bridging the pins on the motherboard. Same result.

-RAM is fine. It doesn't work with only 1 stick or none in. Same result.

-I can hear a electrical popping noise(Think of the electric primer on a stove or grill), although I can't figure out where it is.(Most likely mobo)

-Sometimes it randomly works. But rarely.

-Changed/removed CMOS battery.

I think summarizes all of it.

Other hardware if it matters:

i5 2320

Motherboard: Whatever Dell used in the Sandy Bridge era. I didn't check the brand/model.

8 gigs of whatever Dell put in there.

2x1TB WD Black HDDs

Sufficient 430W PSU

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I will respond as quickly as possible to any questions/comments.

Looks like its dead imo.

This CPU (and socket) is marked as End of Life on Intel's Ark, although you can find motherboards on places like Newegg. Just search LGA 1155 motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=LGA+1155+motherboard&N=-1&isNodeId=1

Yeah. If it is dead, I'm going to pick up an Asrock board. It sucks that I don't have an extra mobo to test everything in to verify the mobo is actually dead.

buy board. Test it. If it works the old board is faulty if not return it.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
