Installing Android on Kindle

I know that this forum is aimed at PC savvy people but this is the best site I know of to get help. The xda developers articles are extremely unhelpful.

 

Anyway here is my situation.

• I have windows 10
• I have a second generation Kindle Fire HD
• The Kindle has Update 10.5.1
• The Kindle is rooted

What I need is to revert the kindle to 7.5.1

 

How do I do this?

 

Please don't link to the xda dev forums. I am absolutely fed up with them.

you'd have to get a rom for 7.5.1 and flash that. or possibly reverting back to factory, before all the updates might do it.

Flash a stock system image on it, that corresponds to the version you want

See I can't flash a ROM because I can't put TWRP because it requires me to have 7.5.1 . And resetting a kindle will only delete all apps and user settings. It won't roll back updates.

 

Unless there is a different way to flash a ROM.
