Posted November 28, 2015 Trying to find a CPU cooler for a Silverstone RVZ02 which has a cooler limit of 58mm. I'm restricted to a 92mm fan type or smaller for a few reasons. My motherboard is an EVGA Z87 Stinger and has a really tall VRM heatsink, I'm running high profile RAM and because I will be able to see inside the case for cosmetic reasons I don't want something blocking to much of my other parts. I know there is the Silverstone AR06 and Noctua NH-L9i that both fit and are capable coolers but I'd really like one that is black or black and red. The CPU is an i5 4670k. While I wont at first as I'll be testing temps in the case I'd like to try and run my current overclock of 4.2ghz @ 1.17v if possible but it's not deal breaking if the cooler won't handle it. I'd prefer something that looks appealing and fairly quiet as it will be on my desk and the only fan that will run consistently. Thanks ... Posted November 28, 2015 I could only think of the Raijintek Pallas for this.. I think your best bet is that Silverstone cooler with a Scythe fan on it. I wouldn't be able to use the Pallas but the Zelos might be worth considering. The Scythe 92mm wont fit in the case on the AR06. I did find a really nice cooler the ID Cooling IS-40 Pro. The only problem it doesn't deliver to Australia ...

Fun fact, it apparently cools just as well as a hyper 212 EVO (I'd take that with a pinch of salt)... The Silverstone AR06 is a better cooler than the L9i. It is compatible in term of cooling capacity to the L9x65. Get the L9i only if the case has less than 40mm cpu cooler clearance. It certainly doesn't perform nearly as good as the Hyper 212 EVO.

Posted November 28, 2015 The Silverstone Argon AR06 probably can handle the 4.2Ghz overclock of your 4670K if there is sufficient airflow inside the case. The sticky bit is the color of the fan. If you can find a 92x14mm fan in black, you can swipe the stock white/blue fan out. But there are not many 92x14mm thick fans out there, especially a good quality, quiet pressure optimized one. There are some good 92x25mm fans, like those from Be Quiet. But then you can only use L9i or AR05 in order to limit the height below 58mm. You cannot run any overclocking with these coolers. Sorry, but there are not many good options out there.

I have seen some 92x15mm fans but other then that I'm limited the stock AR06 fan or the Notcua one. Yeah it has been really difficult to find a cool to suit a theme style build in this case. I'm going try and get one of the ID-Cooling IS-40 Pro coolers as it is only 44mm high and then get a decent 92x25mm fan for it. But the postage is almost impossible.
